Devin Sohmer is a filmmaker whose imagination defies explanation and whose stories know no bound. He developed his storytelling voice at an early age, creating bold narratives with his hometown friends and two sisters.
During the 2020 pandemic, Devin wrote and directed "THE TRIP", a short film exploring themes of solipsism and isolation against the psychedelic backdrop of an unpredictable camping trip. The film quickly gained traction online, sparking theory and debate while amassing over 95,000 views on YouTube.
In 2022, Devin attended the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic (FAMU), where he further refined his cinematic craft. Since then, he has continued to create resonant visual stories across commercial, narrative, and documentary projects. He has notably worked on ABC’s "Will Trent" and is currently collaborating with Counter Stories Productions and Sabotage Film Group on an untitled documentary about gun violence prevention—centering community-driven stories across the United States.
Devin’s sharp eye for storytelling and collaborative mindset have allowed him to forge meaningful connections that transcend boundaries and bridge genres.
